Appealing Aspects: Great views in both directions – a gentle curve towards the east and a nice straight shot to the west. Facing north towards the track, so the lighting is generally good for photography. Close to a defect detector, allowing train information to be heard on the scanner. Generally, a quiet site, so approaching trains can usually be heard well before arrival (especially when coming from the east). Trains typically run at track speed through the area.
